Staff at the UNH Center for Academic Resources

Craig Werth (former Associate Director)
Craig has left the CFAR family to pursue his dream as a professional musician, touring with Canadian singer & songwriter David Francey.

While employed full time at CFAR, Craig Werth did academic counseling and initial assessments with UNH students, trained and supervised tutor/counselors, researched learning skills and group dynamics, gave many presentations to UNH classes and groups, and provided primary data and computer support for the Center. Craig has an extensive background in experiential learning, personal counseling, and group facilitation. His current areas of exploration include the development of multimedia for learning and personal development, and how we manage anxiety. A student-centered approach, respect for values, and a penchant for creative problem-solving are three descriptors of Craig's approach to his work. On occasion, we are fortunate to have his contributions for data collection and analysis for our Student Support Services grant.

Craig is an avid sea kayaker, photographer, and writer. He has performed and composed music for guitar, keyboards, and voice for over 20 years. He had worked at the Center in numerous capacities since 1978; has been an officer in two regional educational opportunity organizations (NHEOA and NEOA); and is involved with Danny's Team, a community service group which engages in experiences with persons of varying physical abilities.

Background: BA in Psychology and M.Ed. in Counseling. Coursework in music and computer programming.
