| My name is Amadin. I am a sophomore here at UNH with a major in Civil Engineering. This is my first year working as an Academic Mentor and I am pumped to be doing this. When I'm not hitting the books I'm probably off somewhere laughing, and having fun with good friends. I am psyched to be working at CFAR because it only took me one visit before I fell in love with the place and the people who work here. I love getting involved with people and organizations because experience has taught me that anyway I help out others, I have helped myself, in return, to grow and mature. I am down with soccer, football, watching movies, listening to music, and just kicking back. | ![]() |

Hi, I'm Erin. I'm a senior majoring in Psychology. I read for fun and enjoy hanging out with my friends. Last summer I visited my cousin in Australia and loved it (although the plane ride was a little long)! Academic Mentors are intended to help their students, but I have found that my students end up teaching me just as much as I teach them. Whenever I help a student master a new study skill or technique, I end up getting a crash course in whatever class they are taking. Thanks to them I know a little bit about astrology, spanish, linguistics, natural resources, and a host of other subjects that I've never taken classes in before and they walk away with different ways to take tests, avoid procrastination, and enhance their reading skills. It's a win-win situation for everyone! |

Hello, I'm Margaret. I'm a junior English major and this is my second year as a CFAR mentor. I have another job as a writing assistant at the writing center, and I love that too! When I'm not working I love to read and write fiction, which is probably the reason I want to work in publishing after college. I've met some great people at CFAR and look forward to working another two semesters here. |
| Hi, my name is Maria. I am a senior Psychology major working on a minor in German. I love helping other people to get organized and the atmosphere at CFAR! It is a very relaxing and positive place to be. I have worked at CFAR since my sophomore year. I am back at UNH after studying abroad in Salzburg, Austria last spring. Traveling is one of my many hobbies and when I'm on campus you can find me helping out campaigns, participating in the Bystander Intervention Program, conducting research, doing some fun activities with the German Club, or just relaxing at the MUB! I understand that finding time to do homework, hang out with friends, and be involved in the community is hard, but CFAR is a great resource to help you figure out how to do it. | ![]() |

My name's Mike. I transferred to UNH from UMass Amherst my freshman year. UNH is great. I'm currently a senior Economics major and after UNH I'm going to law school. I've been a mentor at CFAR for over a year now and I really like it. I love playing squash and I used to be really good at frisbee and hackey sack, but I'm not a hippie. |

Hey all! My name is Samantha and I am currently a sophomore here at the lovely University of New Hampshire. I am a major in Nutrition with a minor in Spanish. I am from Salem, Massachusetts, and I absolutely love it there. Some things that I enjoy are dance (any type!), tennis, summertime, the Boston Red Sox, lots of different kinds of music, traveling, and of course ... CFAR! I think CFAR is a great place for help in any area because the transition into college can definitely be difficult one and many, many students will take all the help they can get. CFAR is a great place for meeting one-on-one with academic mentors and tutors, learning helpful study skills and tools, or just a warm and friendly place to make a friend! I really love being a part of CFAR and it has begun to feel like second home on campus. |
| My name is Stephanie and I am a junior majoring in Business Administration & Accounting. I am also an Admission Rep at UNH, a sister at Alpha Chi Omega, my freshman year I was also a coxswain on the Men’s Crew team! Being involved on campus has taught me excellent time management skills. I am looking forward to helping students with not just time management but all the skills necessary to be successful at UNH! It is very rewarding to help peers, and if anyone is in need of help, I hope they seek help at CFAR. | ![]() |
