Daniela Adler Dani Adler has been associated with CFAR since its inception in 1979. Her belief in and love of her work is evident in her longevity in the program. Dani’s area of expertise is her work with students with disabilities. She’s a primary resource for students with disabilities: teaching learning strategies, providing personal and academic support and coaching to students. Additionally she advises students who suspect they have a learning disability or Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD). Dani interviewed UNH students with disabilities and created web pages using their stories to inspire students to pursue and be successful in higher education. Dani also loves her work supervising and training the student staff who serve as Academic Mentors. She is very proud of the Academic Mentor’s individual work helping students to reach their academic goals. Their energy and enthusiasm is infectious and provides a welcoming environment as soon as you walk through the front doors of Wolff House. Outside of CFAR, Dani loves spending time with her husband and daughters, meeting up with friends, quilting, swimming, kayaking, playing with her dog, going to movies and to the theater, and discovering new interests! Dani continues singing with Voices from the Heart, a women's a cappella chorus, and this past summer was part of their 10 day singing tour of Croatia and Slovenia raising money to clear landmines. Background: B.A. in Psychology and M.Ed. in Counseling from UNH. 28 years of training and leadership experience with the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD-NE); the New England Educational Opportunity Association (NEOA), and its state affiliate NHEOA. Professionally Dani is “… helping students to create their destinies.”
